ACT Stormwater Pit Grates & Lintels
EXDS has create Stormwater Inlet Pit Types to suit the “ACT Government Stormwater Municipal Infrastructure Standards”. We have created these and would like to share this with our clients in ACT, so you can benefit from having these in your 12d Model Projects.
List of Node Types:
- TYPE R SUMP (Single, Double, Triple)
- TYPE QS SUMP (Single)
- TYPE KI SUMP (KIS) – Lintel Sizes XS, S, M, L
- PLANTATION SUMP (Single, Double)
- 1050 ND MANHOLE
The example project provides trimesh file of the stormwater inlets shown above and a drainage.4d file that calls the trimesh when the inlet type is chosen.
All you need to do is to choose your desired inlet type, and the correct trimesh will be applied.
The insertion point for the trimesh is the node centre, and we have assumed that setout information will be given to the node centre.
Workflow
- Design your road.
- Insert the provided snippet to you MTF file to create the “Nominal Kerb Line” string.
- Design your stormwater drainage network.
Use the Stormwater Inlets provided in the attached drainage.4d file. - Set the Road Design File to calculate the ‘Setout String’ to be the “Nominal Kern Line” created in step 2.
- Use the ‘Adjust Node Locations’ tool to move the underground Nodes to the correct location behind the kerbs.
- Press ‘Set Node Details’
- Go to lunch!
