Survey Construction Procedures 2 – Essential Techniques

$495.00 inc GST

This is day 2 of a two-day course in the use of 12d Model for Construction Surveying.

Participants will learn the procedures for taking raw field data and generating fully annotated plots of the survey, including contours, then generate data files and information for setout.

In this course you will learn how to use the tools available in 12d Model to the deliver the work required of an on-site Engineering Surveyor.

Survey Construction Procedures 2 – Essential Techniques is part two of a 12d Model Training course introducing Surveyors to the tools for engineering surveying.
Participants will become familiar with the techniques for mapping and labelling in 12d Model and for creating data rich DE information for clients.

Prerequisites:

  • Completion of “Survey Construction Procedures 1” – Fundamentals

Outcomes

In this course you will learn how to use the tools available in 12d Model to the deliver the work required of an on-site Engineering Surveyor.

Course Outline

  • Create subgrade layers (boxing) for the road, and calculate subgrade volumes.
  • Create Machine Guidance files for the road design strings (Trimble, Leica, and Topcon).
  • Generate Construction (Conformance) reports for the road.
  • Generate a Pavement Conformance report for the road pavement.
  • Load a stockpile survey and calculate stockpile volumes.
  • Load survey data for a precasat structure, and undertake a 3d Helmert of the structure to orientate it to the site.
  • Use a Leica ‘sets of Angles’ file to create stations, and do a Least Squares adjustment of the stations.
  • Displaying 12d Model features for Engineering Surveyors’ requirements.

Further Training

For 12d Surveyors, the next course is Survey – 12d Field
